⚡ Stream Command™ Quick Glossary
🧠 FINTEL™ Score
0–25 composite rating that weighs recent form, opponent quality, Vegas props, park, and expert ranks. Higher = stronger streaming play for that day.
🎰 Vegas (Outs & K's)
- Outs: How many outs sportsbooks project the pitcher to record — reflects expected workload.
- K's: Vegas-projected strikeouts — gauges daily strikeout upside. Both are real betting props, not model guesses.
⚔️ Opponent vs Handedness (wOBA & K%)
Shows how the opposing lineup has performed vs pitchers of the same hand (RHP/LHP) over their last 30 days.
- wOBA (Weighted On-Base Avg): Like batting average, but gives more value to extra-base hits — doubles, triples, and HRs count more. League avg ≈ .320. Lower = weaker offense (better for your pitcher).
- K%: How often this lineup has struck out vs that handedness in L30. Higher = easier matchup for your pitcher.
📊 L30 (Last 30 Days)
Pitcher's recent form — rolling 30-day averages for ERA, WHIP, K%, BB%, CSW%, SwStr%, etc. Shows who's hot right now.
⚡ Velocity
Average fastball speed over the last 30 days. Rising = improved stuff; dropping = possible fatigue or injury risk.
🧮 ERA / WHIP
- ERA: Runs allowed per 9 innings — lower is better.
- WHIP: Walks + Hits per inning — measures how many base runners the pitcher allows.
💥 K% / BB%
- K%: % of plate appearances ending in a strikeout — higher = more K upside.
- BB%: % ending in a walk — lower = better command.
🎯 CSW% / SwStr%
- CSW% (Called Strikes + Whiffs): % of pitches that result in either a called strike or a swing-and-miss. Measures strike-earning skill.
- SwStr% (Swinging Strike %): % of pitches swung at and missed. Pure whiff power.
⚙️ Stuff+ / Location+ / Pitching+
Scores centered at 100 = MLB average.
- Stuff+: Raw pitch quality — velocity, movement, and spin.
- Location+: Command and precision in the strike zone.
- Pitching+: Combined effectiveness — blends both stuff and command.
📈 Season Context (bottom section)
Compares long-term averages vs recent (L30) form to show trends. Includes:
- FIP: ERA-style stat based only on strikeouts, walks, and homers — filters out defense luck.
- SIERA: Predictive ERA estimator that accounts for how strikeouts, walks, and ground balls work together to prevent runs. Think of it as "what ERA should be based on skill."
- K/9, BB/9: Strikeouts or walks per 9 innings.
- ERA / WHIP: Season-long control and run prevention.
🧩 Expert Ranks
- CBS: Consensus expert rank.
- FP (FantasyPros): Consensus expert rank.
- PL (Pitcher List): Independent analysis and skill rating.

WHAT IS FINTEL™?
FINTEL™ is an internal 0–100 engine score built from six normalized, weighted signals
with confidence-based smoothing, graceful fallbacks, and outlier caps to prevent
single-metric dominance. In Stream Command™, this engine score is rescaled to a
0–25 FINTEL™ Score so the table stays compact and easy to scan.
The Philosophy
Streaming success comes down to three things: momentum, matchups, and market confidence. That's why FINTEL™ weights recent performance most heavily (38%) — because hot hands win weeks. Opponent quality (30%) sets the ceiling and floor. Vegas projections (15%) capture the wisdom of the betting markets. Park factors (8%), expert rankings (7%), and historical performance (2%) round out the picture, adding context without overshadowing what matters most.

Your Control, Your Formula
Other platforms lock you into their methodology. FINTEL™ starts with mine — then lets you build yours.
Adjust any weight to match your strategy. Think matchups are everything? Slide opponent to 40%. Trust Vegas more than recent form? Push Vegas to 25%. Every change instantly recalculates the scores across the board.
Click on any score and you'll see the exact breakdown — the real weights (after redistribution) and the real math. Full transparency, no black box.
⚙️ WEIGHT CUSTOMIZATION MECHANICS
Lock Feature:
Lock any weight component to protect it from changes. Locked weights stay fixed while you adjust others. "Normalize to 100%" only redistributes among unlocked weights.
"Normalize to 100%" Button:
Proportionally adjusts all weights to equal exactly 100% using the Largest Remainder Method. Example: [40, 30, 20, 10, 10] = 110% becomes [37, 27, 18, 9, 9] = 100%. Your relative priorities stay the same.
"Apply Changes" Behavior:
If your total ≠ 100%, the system auto-normalizes before applying — no error, just instant correction. Then recalculates all scores using your custom formula.
Total Display:
Red when ≠ 100%, green when = 100%. Normalize button disabled at 100%.
BUILT-IN INTELLIGENCE
FINTEL™ applies guardrails so scores reflect signal—not noise:
- Insufficient Data: Factors based on very small or unreliable samples are de-prioritized so they don't distort results.
- Sample Confidence: As evidence accumulates, those factors gain influence; thinner samples carry less weight.
- History That Matters: When opponent history is both sufficient and clearly negative, that reality is surfaced—no sugar-coating.
- Unranked by Experts: If trusted sources don't rank a pitcher, that's treated as negative signal. Today it's penalized directly; a future update will share some of that weight with stronger signals.
- Opener Detection: Probable openers get penalized scores
- Park Warnings: Extreme run environments get visual alerts
- Talent vs. Noise: Sustained performance and trustworthy context aren't discarded because of short-term blips.

Hey, I'm Steve. I built Stream Command™ by myself.
I've played fantasy baseball and DFS for over a decade. Every single day I'd have like 8 tabs open, bouncing between stats, rankings, ownership numbers, and Vegas lines just to figure out who to stream. It was exhausting. So I finally just built the thing I wished existed: one place with all of it, updating on its own, where you can actually see how the scores are calculated.
Stream Command™ ran the full 2025 season on my local machine, pulling real data and scoring pitchers automatically every day. It just never made it public in time. For 2026, that changes. Whether you play DFS, season-long, or just want clearer matchup info, this is built for you.
There's a lot more I want to add. This is still early, but the foundation is solid and I'm not going anywhere.
